Official Contest Information and Rules

Adult Impersonators Contest

This contest will take place in the evening of the festival. The time has not officially been set but we are shooting for 3pm. Check the schedule page of the website for specific times.

Contest Rules:

• Each professional will be given a 1 minute and 30 second window to perform on stage.
• Performance cannot be less than 30 seconds or you will be disqualified.
• Impersonation must be of a celebrity. No super heroes or costumed characters. Example: Michael Meyers as Austin Powers YES!, Micheal Meyers as Shrek NO!
• Impersonators can enter more than once for the different celebrities they impersonate. No more than 3 entries and the impersonator can only win for 1 of the celebrities they impersonate.
• Impersonators are welcome to bring a cd with music for the DJ to play during their performance.
• There will be a 30 x 15 covered stage to perform on with full sound and microphone.
• If you use a musical instrument there will be amps where you can plug an instrument in.
• If under the age of 18, you must be accompanied by parent or legal guardian. A consent form must be signed by parent or legal guardian.
• Professional impersonators cannot also enter the amateur or kids impersonators contests.
• No profanity of any kind.
• No nudity or simulated nudity of any kind.
• No simulated sex or sexual poses.
• This is a child friendly festival please keep that in mind.
• Employees of the festival may enter but are not eligible to win prizes.
• Tribute acts that are being paid to perform may enter but are not eligible for prizes.
• Panel of judges will be fair and impartial.  

Prizes:

• Trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.
• Cash prize of at least $100 for first place however this may go up between now and Sep 18th once we get sponsor and vendor money in.
• Winners will be featured on the TCI Fest website with a link to their website or preferred agency for the life of the festival.
• Winners will be featured on the TCI Fest Facebook page with links to their website or preferred agency.
• Winners will be featured on the TCI Fest Youtube account.
• Winners receive free tickets to next years festival and automatic entry into next years professional impersonator contest.
• Winners will receive a jpg file of their trophy to display on their website or in publications.
• Winners will be listed on a Houston entertainment agency website for possible future bookings.

How to submit:

To submit as an entrant in the professional contest you will need the following.

• Picture of yourself as one or all the celebrities you wish to compete as.
• Verification of professional status. This can be a link to your professional website, a link to an agency website where you are featured as an impersonator, or a written referral from an entertainment agency.
